ExamSoft Usage - Fall 2007

Mac Users Please Note:  There is no Mac client of ExamSoft.  If you have an Intel processor, with BootCamp (free from Apple) installed and Windows XP or Vista installed, you can use your Mac.  Otherwise, it is your responsibility to obtain a Windows based computer for the exam, IF you choose to take it by computer.  All students always have the option of handwriting the exams.  WCL does NOT provide laptops for for students to take exams.   The loaner laptops available at the Pence Law Library Circulation Desk will not allow installation of programs; they cannot be used for ExamSoft exams.

What is SofTest? from ExamSoft?
SofTest serves as a simplified word processor similar to Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect for essay responses including cut, copy & paste features, font size & style adjustment, as well as the ability to undo up to 50 previous actions per essay question window.  You can take the exam in any font size and style you prefer; when the Registrar's Office prints the exam, they will specify a font size and style for printing that will override your formatting choice.
