Tour will depart from the WCL Law School (4801 Massachusetts Ave) at 2:00pm SHARP. The Federal Arbitration Act in Practice:
Overview, Selected Issues and a Case Study

The seminar will cover the structure of the Federal Arbitration Act, how it works in practice, current "hot topics" in the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in the United States and will include a brief case study of the U.S. courts role in an international commercial arbitration dispute between U.S. and Latin American companies involving a commodities shipment from a third country. The seminar will be taught by Janis Brennan, Partner, Foley Hoag LLP. Certificate of attendance will be provided
Seminar Fee: $120 (includes 4 CLE credits and lunch). The Seminar is free for people registered in at least one Arbitration Summer Session Course. Certificates of attendance will be awarded or CLE credit.
