Admission:
All seminars are offered for professional development. To apply, candidates must:

hold a law degree either from a U.S. law school accredited by the American Bar Association or from a foreign law school with equivalent standards;

Be enrolled in a law degree program at a U.S. law school accredited by the American Bar Association or a foreign law school with equivalent standards and have completed the first year of law school.
Candidates with direct experience in International Arbitration that do not hold a law degree are eligible to apply. Please

This option is available to participants who do not wish to take the exam.
All participants are expected to attend 90% of all course sessions in order to receive the certificate.

Admission:
This option is available only to practitioners licensed to practice law in the US. WCL is an accredited provider for
Virginia, Pennsylvania and
New York and will seek accreditation for all other states as requested.
Continuing legal education (CLE) is professional education of lawyers that takes place after their initial admission
to the bar. In many states in the US, it is a requirement for attorneys to maintain their license to practice law.
CLE per session: 12 CLE credits (14 if NY)

Program Changes & Withdrawals
Applicants who have registered or paid a deposit will be informed promptly of any changes in the Summer Program's
offerings and, in the
unlikely event of a seminar cancellation, will receive a full refund for the course (excluding
the application fee of $65, which is non-refundable).
Refund is only available if you withdraw before the start of classes. Cancellations after that time will not be refunded, however, seminar materials will
be provided. Substitutions will be considered. Requests for refunds should be directed to the International Arbitration Program. The address is as follows:

Written cancellation received three business days prior to the course will be fully refunded (arbitration@wcl.american.edu). Cancellations after that time will not be refunded, however, course materials will be sent and access to webcasts will be provided. Substitutions will be considered.
