ELISEO CASTINEIRA
Eliseo Castineira, a graduate of the University of Paris and New York University School of Law, is Counsel to the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. Mr. Castineira practised in the fields of corporate and commercial law and arbitration with Andersen Legal and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer prior to joining the ICC. As Counsel to the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Mr. Castineira has supervised hundreds of international arbitration cases involving parties from many countries. These cases involve all types of contracts (joint ventures, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements, distribution and agency contracts, patent and trademark licenses, etc.) in all types of industries (construction, energy, financial services, information technology, pharmaceuticals, etc.). His duties include the conduct of the proceedings until arbitral tribunals are constituted and the review of draft awards submitted by ICC arbitral tribunals for scrutiny by the ICC International Court of Arbitration, as well as the representation of the ICC International Court of Arbitration at conferences and seminars. Mr. Castineira also teaches international arbitration at the University of Paris II - Assas (France), the University of Versailles - Saint Quentin (France) and Queen's University (Ontario, Canada).
