GERALD E. BATTIST '66

Biography

Gerald Battist is currently Of Counsel at Parkhurst & Wendel, LLP specializing in Intellectual Property Law including Patent Litigation.

Mr. Battist previously was in house counsel at Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, New York for over 25 years specializing in Patent Procurement and Patent Litigation matters and as Director of Licensing and Technology Development, including technology licensing, patent enforcement, mergers and acquisitions, developing business ventures, and management of patent and technology portfolios.

After early retirement from Eastman Kodak in 1991, Mr. Battist became Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary, and a member of the Board of Directors of Fuisz Technologies LTD. Chantilly, VA (Acquired by Biovail).

Mr. Battist is the author of Management of Intellectual Property for the Growth of a Business and has lectured on the role of proprietary intellectual property in growing businesses.

Mr. Battist lives in Reston, Virginia with his wife Louise.
