While in town for reunion, take your family to the National Zoo!
We have contracted with the National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Avenue, N.W.) to offer you a Zoo Adventure Package on Saturday, October 18th at noon. The price per person is $10. Please pay in advance using the reunion registration form.
You can either drive to the Zoo and park there, or you can take the red line metro to Woodley Park/Zoo station and walk the few blocks. For more information about getting to the Zoo, click here.

Upon your arrival, (promptly at noon) make your way to the Visitor Center (located just beyond the front gates). A Zoo greeter will meet you, orient you, and give you your lunch tickets, map and other Zoo souvenirs. You should then take your lunch tickets and go directly to the Panda Café,
overlooking the Fujifilm Giant Panda Habitat. Lunch(es) can be picked up at 12:30 pm before you start your self-guided tour of the zoo. You may take any route you like and stay as long as you like!
Lunches include:
- Potato Chips
- Animal Cookies
- And your choice of sandwiches and beverages
Please let us know in advance(by October 3) what your preferences are for lunch:
Sandwich Options:
- Roast beef on honey wheat
- Virginia ham and swiss cheese on rye
- Roasted turkey on multi-grain
- Peanut butter and jelly on a white or wheat bread (made in a contained station)
- Veggie delight (roasted zucchini, yellow squash, red pepper, green pepper, red onion and hummus)
Beverage options:
- Soda
- Juice
- Bottled water
