Howard Lee

Mr. Lee holds both his graduate and undergraduate degrees from American University. He obtained his Bachelors degree from the School of Public Affairs in 1969, and his JD from the Washington College of Law in 1973.

He is currently the Managing Director of Cosmos Alliance, a consortium that seeks emerging biotechnologies that can benefit from strategic investments. Mr. Lee has an extensive background developing public policy for foreign and domestic financial institutions. His is a former staff director for the United States House of Representatives' subcommittee on domestic finance and monetary policy, deputy staff director of the former full committee on the District of Columbia, and director of the Thrift Depositor Protection Oversight Board under President George H. W. Bush. Mr. Lee has served on numerous United States delegations to sessions of the Asian Development Bank, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), the International Monetary Fund, and to meetings of international finance ministries and foreign central banks.

Mr. Lee is politically active and served as an advisor to the electoral campaigns of Senator Warner and Governor Gilmore.
