Millard Bennett
Millard Bennett graduated magna cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law, in 1977. He then served as a judicial law clerk for the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland.
Mr. Bennett is managing principal and co-founder of Stein Sperling Bennett De Jong Driscoll PC, a full-service law firm headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. His practice is concentrated in the areas of business organization, business ownership conflicts, conflict resolution, transition of ownership interests and civil litigation. Mr. Bennett's background in business, as well as his experience in running a successful law firm, gives him particular insight into the legal and financial needs of the business clients he serves. He advises numerous companies on business and management issues, helps map out operational strategies and develops both exit and business continuity strategies. In addition, Mr. Bennett frequently speaks on business transitions, disputes and controversy topics to various business and civic groups throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
Mr. Bennett continued his involvement with the law school by serving for multiple years as Chairman of the John Sherman Myers Society, the school's prestigious alumni association. In addition to his involvement with WCL, Mr. Bennett serves on the Board of Directors for the Cyrus Katzen Foundation, Inc. and on the Board of Advisors for the Montgomery County Medical Society. He has been honored by the Bar Association of Montgomery County as a Bar Leader and has been consistently recognized by Maryland and Washington D.C. editions of Super Lawyers magazine.
